Hi - I tried researching this, but I need some advice. We are going to universal studios for 1 full day and islands of adventure 1 full day in mid August 8/15 and 8/16). My boys are not big ride fans and we plan on mostly seeing shows and tame rides. Will we be able to do everything (no thrill rides) without buying the express pass?

I greatly appreciate your help!

As long as you are there for opening and have a plan you should be ok.It will still be incredibly busy.Schools arent back in session till the 19th and crowd calendars predict heavy crowds until then

check the show times online for your dates.

plan your day in the parks around them.

since it still be summer vacation mode in the parks, plan ahead so you will be able to do eveything you want.

be sure to pick up the park guide maps when you enter the park for any changes in the rides or shows.

be in line at the gate prior to opening.
the later in the day, the more crowds tend to grow.

have a great time at the darkside!!
