I just called to make a payment on my New Years trip & the girl I spoke to said they do not accept payments after the deposit. Is this true? I want to pay off the rest of my stay.

Keep me informed on this.It would be so much easier to make payments then shelling all the money up front for a vacca 8months down the road..

Universal can make a whole lot more buisness this way,,

I have a 4 night room only. I only had to put 1 night deposite down.

I have a 9 night DIsney room only booked on the same trip. I have been making payments on the Disney for the last few months & will pay it off this weekend.

I do know they have a few # for Universal so I'm hoping I called the wrong one to do this. I can just pay when we check in but when DH hears a trip is paid for he is ready to add extras;)

We did a room only trip in Aug. that we booked through AAA. The deposit only held the room and we could only pay for it when we checked out. I think the room only reservation is paid for at the time because that way you haven't paid for the room and then they don't have to reimburse you if you cancel. We were able to cancel until the day before with no penalty. In the past when we have booked a package trip (room and tickets) we had the entire thing paid before we went.

there are exceptions to paying off the bill in advance thru payments.
i have used it before.

call the ressie # and tell them you need to make payments and you will be transferred or given the number for the bookkeeping department.

they will send you the form you need to complete and they take it from there.
then you make the payments for the trip.

they have made it a policy to just have you pay one night's stay and the rest when you check out.

i now prefer to pay for all my charges once i check out of the hotel.

Its an Advanced Payment Authoristation Form, they will email it to you.
I pay throughout the year prior to my stays, just fill in the amount which hotel and reservation number, also card details and amount to pay and fax it to them.
I have the number in work and will post it here on monday if you have not got sorted.

I know about the Advance Payment Authorization form (and I do have it if anyone needs it - just E-Mail me).

Does anyone know if you can overpay to cover incidentals?

TIA! :)

I just paid off my room at HRH and was able to do so by filling out a special pre-payment form.

You can overpay as much as you want, then when you checkout ,they will give you the $$ if there is any credits left on the bill.

We did this a couple years ago. It was great not having to think about ANY money. We will be overpaying again for our upcoming trip next summer. I know some people say keep the money and draw interest, but some of us have spouses that like to spend, spend, spend as long as it is in the bank acct.
