Great move on the part of Universal. They realize they are not a week long destination on their own, but that doesn't mean thay can't get people to stay in their resorts for a week and visit other theme parks. I'll have to look further at the pricing to see if it represents a good value, but it shows they have their thinking caps on. Depending on how good a value it represents, it might be further reason for the Kidds clan to spend some of our time at Universal in December.

There is nothing on Universal's website about this package. If Universal was even affiliated with this, doubt you honestly think they would offer tickets to Water Mania instead of Wet n' Wild?

P.S. I've seen this "package" make the rounds on the message boards. Some travel agent's company is in the fine print.

A seven day park hopper plus pass ?!?!?!?!?

Something sounds more then a little fishy.

I called Universal's 1-800 number and talked to a sales counseler. They DO have the "stay and play" package. It is a 7-night package. But it doesn't include Disney tickets.

Sounds like the UK deals- when I sent for my Universal trip planning video, I got a small pamplet for Virgin holidays. The packages seemed to include Disney and Universal tickets, even though the accomodation was Universal.

Anyone else from the UK or Ireland may be able to confirm this, but I can check tonight when I get home.

I saw this in a travel agent's ad. I think in the new york times. It was confusing! It didn't look like it was from Universal directly, but rather through a travel agent (via a wholesaler?).

Not a bad idea though on US part, if they did do this. That would probably get me over there. ;)

Where can you book this package? from a travel agent or do you have a web site address?

If you read it, it sounds like the hopper is included in the package but you have to buy the Universal tickets on your own.

I have to assume this ppdo too...so that would be$2100 for two people for 7 nights (no air)...or $300 a night.

Why doesn't Disney and Universal get some buses and run a route
from the ticket center to city walk instead of everybody calling Mears and other shuttles companies. More people will stay on WDW property if there was a dependable bus schedule to Universal.
If you can't lick them, join them!!
