Universal / IOA in October??

Can anyone advise. What are the crowds like in October?? Should I plan to purchase the Universal Express pass (we are not staying onsite)?

October is not busy. The only time it gets busy is from about 5:00 PM until close on the nights they have Halloween horror night. Columbus Day can also be busy.

As extensive Disney vacation researchers. ... And as we are going to Universal this year instead..Our hours of research have produced this little nugget of info..Instead of purchasing the packet of.."1 time per ride"..Express passes, You can purchase a AAA membership..stay 1 night at Universals Royal Pacific Resort and with the discount you will have covered the cost off the AAA membership...plus...You get "unlimited" front of the line acess for the day you stay at the Hotel AND they day after! All for about the cost of the Express pass package you are considering...If you call Universals # they will give you AAA rates, even if you don't have a card, so you can double check the math!..Also you can check in early the day of your stay so you get FULL use of the front of the line acess!...Check it out & I hope I helped

Thank you for your reply OhioTony, unfortunately as we are from the UK I dont think we can purchase AAA Membership. But we are considering staying at the HRH for one night!!!!!

Actually, as UK residents if you're a member of the AA (currently about £39 to join) you can get the AAA discounts. You just have to make sure you say AAA instead of AA when you book
