Hey folks..I'm new to the DIS forums. I am making a trip to WDW Sept 22 - 29 and will be visiting IOA & Universal a few days while there. I have noticed that Universal & IOA's park hours are both from 9a-6p. I was just wondering if this is the norm. Do they typically post those hours until the time starts coming and then put them both at something like 9a-9p? It just seems like a very short day to me. I'm not worried about getting everything done or anything like because I have been many times but it just strikes me as a little odd that they would do that. I mean there aren't live animals there like AK that go sleep at 5 or 6? Does anyone have any information that may help me out?

We have been going to US/IOA for the last few years and staying onsite. We just so happened to be going this year Sep. 21-26. Unfortunately in all the years that I have been going they have never really extended the hours. I have seen them scale back the hours but never extend them. I would plan on the hours remaining the same. Because we are staying onsite and get FOTL access, I am ok going at this time of year. Also, the end of September is the low season so lines shouldn't really be that long except on the weekends. Hope this helps.

September is a very slow time and there isn't enough people at the parks to keep them open later. CityWalk is still open late, so that would be something to do in the evening.
