Universal in mid-May?

I'm thinking of doing Universal in the middle of May. Any opinions? Super crowded? Super hot?

I think it is a great time to go but avoid Friday's

Local schools do field trips on Fridays in May

Ran into it once but not bad for rides.

My waits happened at the restrooms and eateries

Weather varies but not hot like summer
