We're decided to stay at a Universal Resort for part of our Honeymoon and I'm looking for recommendations as to which of the three resorts would be most "honeymoony"? Thanks all.

It all depends on what your taste is. RPR is very tropical and beautiful but does tend to have younger families. HRH is of course a fun laid back Rock-n-Roll vibe but still family oriented and while we have never stayed at the PBH it is based on the Italian Riviera. Here is a place with some great photos of all three
RPR
HRH
and last but not least
PBH

Have to say, looking at the links above, I'm not gone on the decor of PBH. PBH seems to be the most expensive of the three, is this reflected in the size of rooms, service etc?

the rooms at pbh are the largest of the 3 hotels.
price varies on which hotel costs the most depending on the dates you plan to book.

i love staying at RPH.
you don't see a lot of activity around the hotel or pool during the day when conventions are held there.

i like it for the serene feeling i get starting with the lobby.
i like that it has 4 eateries onsite and close to city walk restaurants.

the rooms are smaller there than the other hotels but if it is just the two of you, there is sufficient room.

PortoFino Bay..though you still get alot of kids/families there ( we stayed there with our 8 yr old). The rooms are the largest ,price simply depends on how booked it is.I have seen where PBH is the most expensive and when it is the cheapest option out of the 3.But it was a very elegant hotel and felt more out of the way

If you want a quiet honeymoon able to sit out by a pool almost by yourselves with some privacy, then PBH is the place to go. They have 3 pools and lots of quiet areas.

Choosing a hotel for ambiance is a very personal choice. All three hotels are beautiful and luxurious and all would be perfectly great for your occasion.

However, if you want to find some alone time outdoors, Portofino will fit the bill.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, it's a great help. I think we're down to two choices now 1) Bay View King Room at Portofino 2)Royal Club Level King Room at Royal Pacific. The two options are roughly the same price.

Will need to make decision very soon. How do people rate the value of the Club rooms? People are saying that Portofino is the most relaxed of the Hotels, just how crazy/noisy would RPR be in comparison?

Thanks again.

For a honeymoon def PBH! -It will have fewer children overall and a more intimate adult couple atmosphere.

Not that I have anything at all against children (love mine lol;)) and also love RPR (we'll be leaving for our second visit in a few weeks!). Overall though the more adult atmosphere at PBH seems better suited to a relaxing honeymoon. RPR just has a little more of the child/young adult crowd.

A RPR club level has its own floor. At PBH there is no designated floor for Club.Club lounge is located lobby level not too far from the check in area.Rooms can be on any floor. We LOVED Club at PBH even though the lounge was a little trek from our room. The food selections were FANTASTIC as were the cheeses and wine in the evening. We definitely used the lounge to the fullest, but we were there over 5 days so we had time to be leisurely. The club staff was PHENOMINAL too
