Universal here we come!

My family and I are going to Universal Orlando in about 10 days and are staying 5 nights at the Hard Rock. We are celebrating my daughter's Sweet 16. There are 15 family members going (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc.). Our kids range in age from 12 through 19. We haven't been to Universal in about 10 years. We are looking forward to the Harry Potter additions in the last few years and have been notified that Diagon Alley opens up the week we are there. We are so excited!

For all you regulars, is there anything that is a must see, must do for us? Can you make any recommendations? We love rides, eating, drinking, hanging out doing nothing, etc. We pretty much like to do anything.

Eat at Mythos. Considering it will be packed with HP opening, you might need to make a reservation. But it was some of the yummiest food and was our family's favorite place to eat on our trip!

If anyone gets motion sickness.. you might consider taking something before riding Forbidden Journey.. I got a little nauseous but would love to do it again next trip. I plan to bring medicine to help with that! Also, Hubs is a huge roller coaster junkie! His favorites (in order) were: 1. Both Dueling Dragons coasters, 2. Hulk, and 3. Rip Ride Rockit. It is also my understanding that you can customize the music on the Rockit coaster.. somewhere there was a list of codes for specific songs.. Might be worth looking into!

Spend some time watching the Mystic Fountain in IOA........he is funny. I could sit for hours watching people's reactions to it.

Confisco Grille is sometimes overlooked in IOA.......good table service and not expensive at all.

Thunder Falls terrace is an excellent counter service.......amazing chicken wrap

Nascar is excellent for food and atmosphere and we love Margaritaville too.......Citywalk is fun at night.

Mini golf at Citywalk is fun. It has two courses and best done at night.

Dr Doom, Hulk, JPRA, Forbidden journey, Spider-Man, Despicable Me, Rip Ride Rockit, Mummy, Shrek, MIB and ET are all rides you shouldn't miss.........and of course the new Gringotts ride looks fun too.

Take some time to enjoy the resort too........HRH pool food is excellent as is the Bula Bar at RPR......really good value for money!
