universal from WDW

Where do we take the bus ( I would guess TTC at wdw ) to go to universal ???
Does it take only one bus or 2 ???
what's your experience doing it ??
Any shuttle ( mears or others ) that can pick us up at a wdw resorts to bring us there ( we will be at AKL ) ?

It would take a few hours by city bus to get from WDW to Universal. There is no Disney bus that will get you there. Your best bet is to take Mears or a cab. It can pick you up at AKL and take you to Universal.

Do any of the US onsite hotels have car rental companies? We're considering going to MVMCP one evening and need to get to WDW. If they don't have car rental, does anyone have a rough estimate how much a cab would cost? Also, does anyone know if there would be cabs waiting at Disney's TTC for us to get back to US? We're staying at HRH. TIA

Portofino has Hertz rental. Not sure about the other two hotels.

You can cab it for about $35-40 each way.

They have cabs outside of all the Disney resorts. We went from Coronado Springs to Hard Rock Hotel a few wks ago. It was $30 for 4 of us.
