Universal fastpasses??

we've got 1 day to do 2 parks in mid October with our 2 boys (6 and 4). Would we need to buy the Universal fastpasses to make sure we get to see and do everything? or at that time of year dont we need to worry?

has anyone been at that time of year - we're going on Oct 24th which is a Friday, is it crazy busy?

which way round makes more sense - IOA then U or U then IOA?

You will be there during the Halloween celebration. From what I understand, it might be too scary for your children.

The Hallowe'en celebration is only at night and is a separate entrance ticket -- don't worry about that. You can wait until you get into the parks before you determine if you want fastpasses. They are sold all over the place. Just get there before opening and you will be able to get a ton of stuff done. The park order doesn't matter. There are lots of things for them at both parks.

I really don't think you would need to buy Express Plus passes for that of year but if the lines are getting too long and you're worried about not doing everything, just purchase them at the park. It's true HHN will be held on 10/24 but the crowds don't usually start arriving until 3pm or later. Since 10/24 is a HHN night, I would go to the Studios first since they close at 5pm on those nights and IOA is open until 7pm.
