Someone recently posted that they were rude so I went out of my way to pay attention and to talk to several this past week. I'm pleased to report that every single one of them was friendly and many were funny. Accolades to Universal for apparently working on this because while I've never noticed much rudeness, I have noticed a steady improvement.

I think that it's important to point out the good stuff. :thumbsup2

Awesome! That's great to hear. Sometimes the Team Members have a rough situation 5 minutes earlier where a guest was rude to them for only doing their job, which in my opinion, can lead to being rude to other guests.

I have seen some posts about this.I'm like you never ran across one that was not friendly.Even the stiff lip security are very friendly!!

Now at the resort I had a problem with just one of the staff. But that got resolved quickly..

But you know what,if you have a bad attidude the TM's can only take so much.I seen this one person at the Mummy giving the TM H*** and he stood there and took it.He finally walked off.He returned about 10min later when we were about to load and I started joking with him.He just had to walk it off and was very nice and laughing at my jokes!!:thumbsup2

I couldn't do what they do and I include people that work at any parks in that. I saw some people that should be ashamed of themselves for their nonsense and I know that I would lose it.

I've never run across an unfriendly one yet either.

Ditto. I have always been treated like a valued customer by Universal employees (at both parks).
The Six Flags employees on the other hand, need to take a course in Universal/Disney 101. :sad2: But that's a whole other discussion.

Never had a problem with any staff at the parks or resorts. I think they go out of their way for guests. :goodvibes

Yeah, I don't know where these "rude TM" stories come from. The Universal Team isn't perfect, and I've encountered a few examples of said lack of perfection over the years, but all-in-all I think the Uni Team is every bit as conscientious, helpful, and friendly as the WDW Cast.

They also seem much happier in their jobs and more relaxed than the WDW Cast.

I love the Uni TM's. My last day there I spent the whole morning doing a marathon on the Mummy, and the TM at the ride entrance was so glad I wanted to sacrifice my soul to Imhotep so much. She made my day!!

I know I've run into a few not-so-friendly TMs in all my visits to Universal/IOA, but I can't give any specific instance because it was never horrible enough to sick out in my mind. The fun and friendly ones are most definitely in the majority.

We have found in the main they are all usually great and very friendly. We did encounter one extremely rude and abrupt employee at the front gate however last year.
We had been queueing at one of the turnstiles for about 10 mins to get in but just as we got to the turnstile it broke and went offline. The staff member at the turnstile told us we had to go and join the back of one of the other queues (which by now were quite long and bearing in mind we had already just queued) I explained we had just queued up and didn't think we should have to wait up to another 15 mins in a Q to get in and was there not another way he could check our ticket or put us through another turnstile.
He then abruptly snapped to us "just go and join another queue, the park isn't going to run away while you wait"
I was astonished but stupidly in my shocked state i did join another queue. By the time we got in we had wasted 30 mins and had a long wait for Shrek our first ride when we wouldn't have if we had got in on our first queue. He also put a damper on our morning and put us in a bad mood for the first part of the day.
I stupidly accepted it when i should have taken his name and complained about him. Amazingly also the people behind us who had to join another queue didn't complain and went with us to a different queue

I will however add most the other employees we have come accross have always been great.

Great to hear! :teeth:

I have never ran across a rude TM either and don't get me wrong but I have at Disney and an example of that was when my FIL was trying to board test track and he couldn't get in fast due to his prostetic legs and the TM started screaming at him :headache:

I like both Universal and Disney and have never seen a big difference in treatment at either place. With a few exceptions, they're all pretty nice employees and I give them a lot of credit for putting up with what they do.
