The Employees at US were GREAT to my family

My brother has Autism. He tends to scream a lot and do things very out of the ordinary that some poeple find disturbing. We always have to hear people talk crap on oour family saying we don't know how to control "that kid" "That kid" happens to be 20 yrs old and can't help his actions. The terminator ride was a really long line... that iss my brothers FAV movie of all time and we didn't want him missing out... this was before the fast pass type thing was installed or we would have used that so he didn't have to be around other people for that long. We went to guest services and asked if we could wait in another area... the employee gave us a VIP card to enter in the exit of the ride... and there was a bunch of lines where he could write specific attractions... he wrote ALL in huge letters accross it. It made our family's day to know that for once we wouldn't have to stress. "that kid" was just like any other kid in the park and got to have the vacation of his life because of it. HUGE PROPS to universal for hiring employees with heart.

How nice, Kristy, for Universal to do that for your brother. very special.

We are at Universal last week, and the MIB attendtant (balcony upstairs) was very helpful with some families that had a handicapped member.

I know what it is like to have a member of the family with special needs. My son is not autistic, but has always been labled a "bad child" and have had both rude comments and rude looks when my son was unable to sit still and be quiet. We pretty much stayed home when it came to eating meals because restaurants were out of the question. We attempted our first family vacation when he was 7. It turned out well although standing in the lines were not fun when all he wanted to do was just walk around. Anyway, I am glad Universal was understanding of your situation. Vacations should be enjoyable for everyone. I know how much of a relief it was for your family to avoid those boring long lines and also avoid confrontation with those who just don't understand how easy their life is when they don't have a family member with special needs.
