universal credit card perks

I had a Universal credit card through Discover which provided points for purches. They cancelled the card quite some time ago. With my points I recieved 4 park tickets. I was told on the phone they would be only for 1 park, but may have a monetary value. Did anyone else use these type of tickets? Was anyone able to upgrade to a 2 park pass? We really only have 1 full day, but would like to park hop. Thanks for any info you may have.

I too had the Universal card. Wound up cleaning house on unused points when they were terminating the program (silly me, I was holding out for the meaty walk-on extra movie reward).

We wound up getting a few USH tickets since we're Annual Passholders for Universal Orlando. But when we found out that we wouldn't be heading out there this summer (they would expire at the end of 2002) I just sold them off.

I don't know if you can upgrade a complimentary ticket. You can always ask at the gate and I imagine you might get the answer you want if you try enough ticket tellers. But you might want to call to be sure if you don't get an answer here.

You can't upgrade complimentary tickets. They will come up as a value of $0.

I have some older tickets that I found out are good for the studios only, but they do not expire. I tried to use one last year at IOA and was not allowed. I could not trade it in ona IOA ticket either. I have 1 left that I got when the card went bust and it is good for either park, but expires at the end of the year and they said that that deadline would not be extended.

Can it be used to park hop?

My impression was that it was a 1 park/1 day ticket and you could not park hop. I'm going in Nov and may try it then, but that is probably too late to help you.
