Hi all,
We are heading to Orlando next Mar/Apr and DH is attending events at the Orange Country Convention Centre. Last year when we attended MegaCon in April we also booked convention tickets for Disney (multiday - MYW tickets, not half day) and these worked well for us, but I am struggling to find info about Universal convention tickets.
Basically my plan would be to get an after 2pm (or 4pm) convention ticket to go to Universal and after DH has finished his events for the day, go and basically do Diagon alley and Hogsmeade (so would need P2P). My kids are young and I'm the only person in my family into "Thrill Rides" or Harry Potter, so we don't feel Universal is a good value for our whole family, so I'm hoping to get a sneaky few hours in just to do the things I want to see.
I was wondering if anyone had used these tickets before or had any information about these types of tickets, I have tried looking online but the information is vague at best.
- Does the event organiser need to create a special link/deal with universal to be able to purchase these tickets? Or can you purchase them through Universal directly with evidence of attendance at an event at OCCC?
- Are spouses/families of event attendees eligible for these types of tickets, or do they need to go to the parks together? (Ideally I would go on my own after DH has finished his days event, so he can stay with our kids)
- How do you find out what the blockout dates are?
Thanks in advance
Grace
