Blackstone (UK company) that currently owns 50% of Universal Orlando is considering purchase of Busch Entertainment once InBev buys the beer portion

said principal is a major shareholder in Merlin Entertainment Group(co owned by company in Dubai), already a big player in theme parks

interesting to see how this plays out...will there be the new 800 pound gorilla in town ?

Very interesting. I'm still hearing rumors that the Busch family would possibly like to maintain separate ownership of the parks...

I have herd Nakeel visited the parks recently for a tour and the family is interested in partnering with someone, that way they may continue to have an influence on the park.

Its going to be intresting how this plays out

As long as the parks fall in good hands I'll be happy!!

If it happens like what happend to Kings Island,theparks will wined up closing!!

Think there's too much of a profit/gold mine; especially with the new plans (HP & Coasters)

Does remind me of what happened to Geagua Lake in Ohio As i recall:

Geagua Lake Park bought Sea World that was located across the Lake, then

Closed down Sea World & built a water park, then

Geagua Lake was bought by Six Flags, then

Six Flags bought by Cedar Fair, who

closed down Geagua Lake Park, keeping the waterpark open

"my" park Kennywood, which has always been in family ownership appears to be sold to company from Spain, hope they keep it intact.
