Universal car rental question

Is anyone familiar with car rental at Universal resorts? Here is our dilemma. We are visiting DW (staying offsite) from March 11 through 18th. Then we move over to PBH for 4 more nights. We obviously won't need the car rental at that time so wanted to see if I could save some money and drop the car there and then, use some other kind of transport back to MCO. Where is the car rental place there? I am sure I read about one there. Do you think this is worth the hassle or should we just keep the car, pay the parking etc and have the ease of driving ourselves back to MCO on checkout day? I am not very familiar with renting cars, I must admit! Thanks!

We haven't rented at UO, but it's Hertz car rental. Right in lobby at RPR.

Really?! Do they bring the car to RPR for you? We're kind of in the same boat as the OP except we're staying at RPR for 2 days prior to staying at our timeshare for a week. We were planning to just rent a car for convenience but it sure would save lots of $ to rent the car at the end of our 2 day stay at RPR and not have to pay the parking fees. Thanks!!

On second thought, I'll pay the parking fees! The Hertz at RPR wants almost $400/week for a full-size!! Yikes, that's crazy! Also they "close" at 5pm so we'd have to leave the parks early that last day to get the car. Oh well, thanks anyway!

I know it's there, but didn't use it.... We only need to rent one way (to Ocala) and Hertz at RPR wanted like $80 (including taxes) just to get from UO to Ocala (appx. 1.5 hours drive). Uh-uh....no way!
