Universal and SeaWorld Hotels

I'm looking for hotels that are in walking distance(2-3 blocks 5-10 minute walk) of Universal Studios and SeaWorld. I'm looking to spend the last two days of my vacation at one of these parks.

Check out the Holiday-inn and suites across from universal. 5905 Kirkman road. The rates on their web site are reasonable and they have entertainment rates. They also have 1 and 2 bedrooms suites. I have not stayed here but Robinrs(one of the moderators on this board gave it a good review) You can still find her review on this board.

are you talking about the same trip - impossible - SW and US are miles apart....

the closest hotel to SW is the Renaissance at SW - there is a Hilton behind it and a HGVC across the street.

the closest hotels to US/IOA are their hotels - Royal Pacific (my favorite), Hard Rock or Portofino Bay - they are within walking distance of US/IOA. I am hopping for a more reasonable sale on Royal Pacific so I can afford to stay there again.....

other hotels are further away - kept in mind that the parking lot at US/IOA is a half mile from the parks (walked it with a CM and he told me)....

all these hotels are expensive - you can try priceline and see how close you can get.

Yes, Seaworld and Universal are basically on two opposite ends of International Drive.

TGC was right, we stayed in a 1 bedroom suite at the Holiday Inn and Suites which IS walking distance from Universal. I really enjoyed my stay there. I got a great rate on hotel kingdom but I checked when I got back and the price is much higher now, from about $50 to $90! This is for the suite.

Of course the onsite Universals are the closest to the USF parks and the Renaissance to SeaWorld, but as spiceycat said, they can be pricey.

Another option is to get a hotel on the I-Ride Trolley line. This can make both parks accessible. www.iridetrolley.com
