Universal Airport Shuttle Service starting

Hi all,

Just seen this on the The Not so Secret Universal and Islands of Adventure FaceBook Group.

"The Universal SuperStar Shuttle Service begins operation Tuesday. A Universal spokesman would not comment on the service, which will cost $35 per person for a round trip."

Would have been interested in this if it was free. We're actually planning on going back to Disney for our last night so we can use Magical Express back to the airport although I don't remember it being that expensive to get a taxi back from RPR last time.

Wow that seems quite expensive to me especially for larger families. What about the people who only want one way? For our recent trip We booked a one way private transfer with mears in a luxury SUV for $77 for 5 of us. Even if we had booked the return journey too it would have only been $154 whereas this new shuttle service would have been $175. I suppose it would be better value for smaller groups though.

They had to do it but maybe they could have offered it free especially with the price of the onsite deluxe hotels.

Overpriced - a cab is $45 each wag, $90 round trip. So only worth it for single travelers, barely for couples...

I've not tried it, but I've only read good things on the boards from the US guys who are used to using it.

We normally have a car, but I do like having a beer at Moe's, so will try it in the future!

I'm not against trying it, anything to save some $$$'s We don't hire a car while there but we do a split stay between Disney and Universal so stick to visiting places nearest each (malls, etc.) while there.

Have to agree, would have preferred if Universal had offered it as free. Very little details on the service, and Mears were quoted as not knowing anything about it.
