Universal 1 hour shopping pass?

Does anyone know if Universal allows guests a 1 hour shopping pass like Disney? Just wondering in case DD wants to buy something she sees on our last AM. She always waits until the last minute to decide on her souviners!

Yes, they do. Just stop at the Guest service window. It is not available though within 2 hours of park closing.

i read about the special shopping pass in guidebooks of 1999.

nice to hear uo still allows for it.

there is no charge for it. well, as long as you leave within that one hour.

you can enter the park for one hour in order to make a purchase that you might have later decided on ...

i have not used it but read about it in an older guide book.
i believe you have to put some monetary amount down , maybe the cost of a ticket???, and if you return withing the appropriate allowable time, you do not have a charge for a day park ticket.


you should contact guest services on this question of how they go about of issuing an one hour pass.

You stop at the Guest Service window outside the park. You ask for a shopping pass. They will take an imprint of your credit card. They don't swipe the card but use those old fashioned imprint machines. They write the amount of a one day/one park ticket which you sign. They then give you a ticket to get in. At the end of an hour you go back to the Guest service window and show a copy of a receipt (even a receipt for a keychain will do). They will give you the copy of the credit card back so you will know it won't be charged.

If you don't return within the hour, your card will be charged for the price of a one day/one park ticket.
