I just called to confirm my reservation at BWV in Sept. and to book ME. I am flying United, and specifically booked it because they participate both ways with ME. When I called Disney, they told me the only ones that participate both ways was now American and Delta. I politely told her what I had seen on boards, other postings, allears, etc. and she did check again (she was actually great, very thorough to make sure) and she said she did not have them listed, and she wasn't aware of United participating, personally, because everyone that she has booked ME with used AA, so she hadn't come across this problem yet. Did United drop off of ME? :confused3

I just went to www.disneyworld.com to see if the list of airlines participating in ME's resort check-in has been changed. The latest info on their web site doesn't mention resort check-in and doesn't list any airlines at all. Very curious... Here is the latest blurb on ME:

Disney's Magical Express Service
This service which is scheduled to start May 5, 2005, is available and complimentary during the Happiest Celebration on Earth, lets your vacation start the moment you land at Orlando International Airport. This is just one more advantage of staying at a Disney Resort.

Don't bother picking up your luggage when you arrive; Disney takes you from the Orlando airport to check-in, while your luggage goes straight from the plane to your room.

Save on transportation costs, tolls, parking, and more.

Enjoy comfortable transportation to and from the airport in themed air conditioned motorcoaches.

When your vacation's over, you and your luggage are whisked back from your Disney Resort to the airport.

All you do is attach the personalized luggage tags we send you — we do the rest!

Pet Carriers are not included.

Good catch. I wonder if Disney is doing away with resort check in, charging for it or just simplifying the information to reduce confusion.

I'm sure when Disney started ME they thought they'd get more airlines.

The CM did tell me that they still had resort check in, and everything was the same, but the airline list was different. She did say that they do anticipate more changes in the upcoming months as ME gets underway. I'm sure we'll see more of these posts, as well, until all of the confusion is cleared.

I guess I just now have to hope that United "officially" signs on before Sept! :cheer2:

It's just interesting that the FAQ page that was there previously, which included a discussion of checking in for your flight at your resort, isn't on their web site any longer. Maybe since we're just two weeks away from the launch of ME, they are making some final edits to the ME FAQs and it will reappear sometime soon.

For some strange reason, Disney has only published a very abbreviated summary of Magical Express at their main public WDW website. It's been this way since shortly after Magical Express was announced.

However, on the Disney Meetings website, Disney has published detailed Disney's Magical Express FAQs for meeting attendees. In that FAQ list, it still says:

Q: What is Resort Airline Check-in?

A: This service offers remote check-in, allowing you to check your luggage and receive your airline boarding pass at the Resort. At this time, remote check-in service is only available for guests flying domestically on the following airlines: American, Continental, Delta (including Song), and United (including Ted). Additional airlines may be added at a later date.

When this FAQ list was first published a few months ago, the list included Northwest. Then the FAQ entry was updated to remove Northwest. Unfortunately, no additional airlines have been added since then.

By the way, WDW resort guests can use Magical Express both ways, regardless of whether an airline is on the Resort Airline Check-in list. Resort Airline Check-in is an optional service available only to passengers of participating airlines. But everyone can use the Magical Express transportation, checking their luggage and getting their boarding passes at the airport.
