I wanted to take a minute to share a positive experience I had with United Airlines today.

I booked my September trip to Disney World a couple of months ago. I am picky about flight times, trying to work around my work schedule and maximize my time on the ground at the World.

Anyway, long story short, I got an email yesterday informing me that my return flight book had been changed, the late evening departure from Orlando had been cancled for my departure date.

After about 30 minutes on the phone with customer service, I was able to get my flight times changed free of charge. In fact, I ended up with a substantial upgrade in fare for no charge and will be getting to Orlando a day early to make up for the lost time. I know they over inflate weekend fares, but even recgonizing that, I appreciated the manager doing what was needed to address my issue at no cost to me.

Yes, I know we should expect this sort of service what the airlines are at fault. But, its been my experience that it just does not happen anymore with all their cost cutting and lack of customer service these days.

I have so many stories of horrible customer serivce with numerous airlines (I am sure many of us do), I really wanted to share a positive expereince.

looking forward to my trip in September!!! :wizard:

It's good that things worked out well. UA did exactly what they should have done, moved you to a new flight at no charge. Sometimes flight changes work to the customer's advantage.
