Unique to DL Food/Snacks- Must Try Suggestions

There are so many yummy treats at DLR! Some of it depends on when you're going...

Jolly Holiday - the S'Mores Bar (seasonal)

screeeeeeech...Um...does anyone happen to know if this is out yet? Summer comes early in SoCal. ;) I can't possibly wait in this state of uncertainty...until the end of the week to find out.

I have one super dumb must-have DLR snack that I cannot find replicated at WDW, and I specifically make time for it every time I go West:

the Hot Link Corndog at Corn Dog Castle in DCA

I don't know what it is about that stupid spicy sausage, but I find it a million times tastier than regular corn dogs, and I wish I could get it closer to home.

Yes! There is something about the Hot Link Corn Dog that puts it over the top for me over the regular corn dog. One thing going to miss on our next WDW trip..

Alas, I've mostly seen it in the fall at Jolly Holiday...

There is a new S'mores dessert available all the time at Smokejumpers Grill at DCA. It is insane. Chocolate coated Graham cracker, brownie, TWO homemade toasted marshmallow squares, another chocolate covered Graham, white chocolate bar with logo on top. It is like 4" tall.

I've seen a photo of the S'more dessert over in DCA...it looked huge!

The s'mores bar at Jolly Holiday is very different from a traditional s'mores. It's a shortbread crust shell, filled with chocolate caramel ganache, topped with chocolate mouse puffs, a graham cracker, and marshmallow puffs.

I'm a WDW fan, but I definitely thought DL had better food overall. Heck, I'd say that Southern California had better food than many other places, including Orlando.

Orlando is not known for good food. CA is. It's because we have a LOT of farms and most produce is grown here, in addition to having a large cattle (both dairy and beef) and poultry industry. Food is fresher here because it doesn't have to travel far. I get strawberries a day after they are picked from the field for $2.00/pound at the supermarket.
