Unique ME Question

I searched but could not find an answer to this question...DH & I are planning on going to WDW next fall & staying a couple of nights so taking ME to the resort is not a problem. However, my sisters will then join me for a girls only birthday celebration on a separate reservation & DH was going to borrow DSs car & visit family for a few days of golf & then return the car to my DS & take ME back to the airport with me.

So he won't be on the room reservation when I check out but if we use a dummy air reservation he could have an ME packet for the day HE checks out but it will actually be 3 days before he plans on taking ME back to the airport. Will they let him on the bus?

Probably not. Each guest gets one MCO>WDW ride on or after the day they check into their WDW resort, and one WDW>MCO ride on or before the day they check out. Can you add him back onto your room reservation for that last night?

Because we are staying DVC & my sisters & I will be adding the DDP, I don't believe I can add him to the reservation unless it's for all nights & we include him in the DDP.

You can add him once you are at WDW (when your second reservation starts), because at that point things are "unbundled" and he won't have to have tickets or the DDP.

It sounds like you'd have to pay for a third adult, though. Depending on your resort, that may be more than just paying for a taxi back to the airport.

It sounds like you have 2 separate reservations:

Res #1 You and DH will be flying in and staying for 2 nights.

Res #2 On the third day your sisters will be driving to DW and on the same day your husband will be taking the car and leaving. You and your sisters will have the dining plan on this second reservation. Near the end of this res your husband will return to DW and the 2 of you will be flying home.

In order for your husband to ride DME back to the airport, he needs to be on Reservation #2 for the last night of your second reservation. After your sisters arrive and you check in for Res #2 you can add your husband onto the res for just the last night. As long as he is on the resort res for the check out/flight date he qualifies for DME. After adding him to the resort res, contact DME to add him to the DME pick up. Since you'll be adding him after the start of Res #2 he will not be eligible for the dining plan.

You didn't mention how many sisters you have so this will work as long as the total number of people don't exceed the room occupancy limit.

In order to ride the DME bus back to MCO, you must be listed on an active resort reservation. It has nothing to do with a flight. So...your dh is going to have to be listed on a reservation somewhere in order to board that bus. I would have him added to the resort reservation when he returns from his outing..even if it's for just a day or two. Or, he can pay to take a bus back to MCO, about $20 or so, and he will most likely be put on the DME bus with you.

I will have 2 separate reservations and I only have 2 sisters so occupancy won't be a problem. Thanks everyone your input I appreciate it! :goodvibes
