Where are the best and/or unique kids meal items? For instance, the chocolate puzzle dessert or the dessert at Sana’a that’s shaped like a turtle or any items that aren’t nuggets, burgers, dogs or Mac n cheese.

I haven't ordered off the kids' menu at Skipper Canteen in MK, but I think I remember that it had some unique-sounding items listed.

The 'blue' dessert for children at BlueZoo.

The hand-crafted S'more at Ganachery in Disney Springs - you watch them blowtorch the treat.

Topolino's offers a basket of pastry 'to be painted' along with breakfast.

At Whispering Canyon Cafe they can get a skillet, which has a variety of yummy "normal" food that is stuff my kids will eat, but also not "kid food" like nuggets. They can also get bottomless milkshakes there.

Satuli canteen has rice bowls that are good. Teppan Edo, the kids can get steak/chicken/shrimp. And I will second Whispering Canyon for normal food. We ate there often when our kids were little. I had a little carnivore that can put away steak at an alarming rate. LOL When our kids were young, we usually ordered an adult meal for them to split.

Aside from the bowls at Satu'li (which are definitely unique as far as kids meals go), they've got the cheeseburger pods and wrapped hot dogs. Not exactly healthy or exotic foods, but unique quick service options for kids.

My kids are super excited for Storybook Dining... maybe a little gimmicky, but the items sound so fun! And it sounds like mostly kids can get same/similar to adults in terms of appetizers and desserts.

We also made a reservation for Skippers Canteen, Biergarten & Boma and plan to do Satuli Canteen, Ronto Roasters for the wraps and maybe Woody's Lunchbox- seems like the food there is still pretty middle of the road but at least a little more interesting. Nomad Lounge has some fun looking items though obviously not kids menu specifically. They've also expressed interest in the Blue/Green Milk at Galaxy's Edge- nor sure how sugary they are but at least they're supposedly plant-based.

Excited to hear what others suggest here too- our kids like spice/flavor and don't like bland food so "kid food" like nuggets/grilled cheese/etc usually don't appeal... I think we'll be having them split adult meals at least some of the time.

That's a good reminder that buffets are great for kids because they are not limited to the kid's section, they can eat whatever they want.

If this is correct, those drinks are not healthy at all.

Back to OP- Docking Bay 7 also has several non-standard options for kids/adults who don’t want 1000+ calories at one meal.

One of the things that my kids looked forward to in our trips was what different food that they could try. We would go over the menus and they would get excited to try something that they never had. They have found many new "favorite" foods during our trips to both WDW and the Disney cruise. My kids love flavor also. One of our favorite spices at home is Jamaican Jerk. Love the stuff. When my youngest was about 6, we ate at Tusker House and for years she kept saying how they had her favorite couscous. LOL Whenever she would say that to people, they were shocked. Mostly because half of the people have no idea what it is. LOL It is a great thing when your kids look forward to trying new types of foods. It has led them to be curious on where the foods come from.
