Unfortunately, my family STILL thinks I'm crazy..a double PTR. *6/6-Beating the heat?

Sounds to me like it would work too. An extension is an extension, and you can add as many cards to a CD as you like! It's a good idea with two trips so close together.

I've already purchased the preorder for the CD, so I think I will just stick with the one and keep my fingers crossed that it works. :thumbsup2

Just wanted to take a minute to update my PTR and let you all know that I am doing the Teen Dance!!

:banana::dance3::yay:

Only 18 days to go until my girls trip :woohoo:

This weekend I am planning on getting our tie dye Mickey shirts done. When I decided to do them I had so much time ahead of me to get them done and now we are just over 2 weeks and they still aren't finished. Woops. :rolleyes1

Also, I've been working out some more specific touring plans just in case we need them so I've been thinking about what attractions that I would like to do that I've just never had a chance to do (mainly because the kids didn't want to). I think I have a good list going, but I'd like your input as well to make sure I'm not missing anything.

So...

What is the one attraction at each of the 4 parks that you've never done but wished you had? Or the one attraction at each park that you never seem to get to but you would do it if you had the chance? popcorn::

Continue to next upate

Hmmm...that's tough...I think we've done them all by now :lmao:

On our last trip, Joyce and I actually tried to do all the things we had never done before. Sadly, we found out that almost across the board, we had good reason to not have done them before...haha!

I think pretty much everything there is to do at WDW is listed here (WDW Attractions). If you look that over and tell me what you haven't done, I can say if we liked it or not :goodvibes

We haven't been since Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom (MK) or Star Tours (DHS) opened, but those are high on our list next trip--though Joyce is probably going to do them on her May trip with our friend Mark and then have to pretend like it is new when we go in October...

Oh wait, I want to try to pull the sword from the stone! I ALWAYS think of it before we head out on our trip, but ALWAYS forget. If you can try to remind us on Joyce's PTR shortly before we go, I'd appreciate it! :rotfl:

I have a pretty good idea of what my 4 are, but wanted to see if anyone else had anything to offer up that maybe I was missing.

I will definitely try to remind you on your PTR. My DH tried pulling it out last trip. Apparently he isn't as strong as he thinks he is. I'm at work now, but I'll try to remember to post at picture of it later.

Swiss Robinson Family Treehouse in MK. I'm not even sure I got the name right. Never done it, and really never wished to either.

Hooray for 18 days!!! :woohoo:

Every year I say I'm going to go to Tom Sawyer's Island...

Every year I say I'm going to ride Primeval Whirl ....

Hooray for the teen dance!!!:banana::banana:

Magic Kingdom: Goofy's Barnstormer. I've always been oddly self conscious about riding this, like I'm too old for it. I don't feel that way about any other ride so it's silly. Next trip, definitely have to do the Barnstormer.
(Also I want to do the sorcerers of the MK but that was never there before!)

Epcot: I want to do Kim Possible. Looks interesting. Also Captain Eo. I want to soak in 80's cheese.

DHS: The Magic of Disney Animation. I looovvve to draw! I can't believe I've never done this. I find it hard to figure out where to go or something.

AK: The only things I've never done are tricera top spin and It's Tough To Be A Bug and I don't want to do either. I might to Ittbab just to say I did but I really hate stingy pokey spitty attractions.

Totally agree with you on this one!

OOHHH. Tom Sawyer's Island. Good one. I always seem to forget about this one. Probably because the awesomeness of BTMRR consumes my attention in Frontierland.

You actually have a couple that are on my list! :thumbsup2

Today, I am a dancing fool.

Or maybe that's a crazy jumping fool.

:jumping1:

See?!? I told ya!

That's because today I am doing my single digit dance. Well, I was actually doing it yesterday, but I was too busy to log on and update my PTR, so I just kept the dance going all of yesterday and all of today too. And I don't plan on stopping until I hit Main Street, USA!!! :woohoo:

Since it's the week before spring break and the end of a nine weeks, school is crazy busy. Lots of grading and trying to keep the kids focused when they (and I!) can think about is vacation--oh joy! But I don't even care because this time next week I will only have 1 SLEEP left until Disney!!!

I was productive the weekend before last and managed to make the t-shirts for our trip.

037.jpg

Except I screwed one up. Can you find it?

Here it is:

040.jpg

It's the second one from the left in the group pic. It's harder to notice in the picture; the difference was more obvious in person, trust me!

The Mickey head didn't come out very defined so I used a bleach pen to outline it.

Enter words of wisdom...

NOTE TO SELF: bleach pens turn black tie dye yellow. :headache: Yuck!

You can't really see the yellowish color in the picture, but trust me, it's there. If it wasn't for that, I would have really liked the outline. I just didn't like the yellow-y color it gave the edge of the black. :sad2:

So this week I picked up another shirt and more dye and I will remake the one shirt this weekend. I am such a perfectionist and I couldn't have one of the shirts looking different than the other 3. I would have never been able to properly enjoy our pictures!!! :rolleyes1

Not too many things left on my to do list before we go, which is always a good thing :thumbsup2

  • Have lessons/copies ready for the day back from spring break (I'll probably be pretty grouchy that next day!)
  • Grocery shop for the clan (I guess they have to eat even though I'll be gone!)
  • Finish last Mickey tee
  • Exchange a pair of shorts I bought (should've tried them on at the store. Opps.)
  • Find my Mickey head flag tee (where would you be hiding if you were a Mickey shirt?!?)
  • Shop for the kids Easter basket stuff
  • Get cash
  • Get batteries for the camera
  • Catch up on Desperate Housewives and Once Upon a Time
  • Pack--DUH!!

I think my list is unnaturally short because it's just me going and DH is staying behind. Makes me feel weird, like I'm missing something on my list.

Does it look like I'm missing anything. Anyone? Anyone?

Single digits! :dance3: That is fantastic!

The shirts came out really nice! You really can't tell that one was messed up in the pictures, but if you insist, then I believe you ;)

Single digits:banana:

Those shirts are awesome, if you need to dispose of the mistake- I'll take it:thumbsup2:rolleyes1

YAY for single digits!!
I love the shirts, too bad about the mistake one. It doesn't look bad in the picture though. I can relate to being a perfectionist, I'd do the same thing!

Thanks for the complements. I posted a picture on FB and a ton of people said you couldn't tell, but I could and it was bothering me!

Diane, I will seriously send it to you if you want it--I'm not going to do anything else with it otherwise. It's a medium. PM me your address.

I knew that you guys would understand my craziness about wanting all 4 to look the same!

Only 4 days until Disney!!!

In case you were wondering, this time next week we'll be heading toward my favorite place in the whole entire World:

AKL!!!

We might not be staying there, but you can't possibly think I would go to Disney and not at least visit AKL, right? I mean, let's consider my screen name after all. :rolleyes1

I cannot wait to hear the welcome music on the bus as we pull into the resort. :lovestruc Or see the peak of that lovely thatched roof. Or inhale the smell of the lobby. I might die of happiness right on the spot. Or cry. I'm just saying....don't be surprised!

So, we will be headed to AKL for dinner at Jiko this time next week. But also don't be surprised if I pull a fast one and convince everyone to switch to AKL for the night because I can't bear to leave! ;)

Today I did online check in and got a couple of last minute things at Target.

I think I'm really ready.

Bring it on!!!!

Thanks ladies! Now that there is free wifi in the resorts, I may try posting a few 'LIVE' updates while I'm there. I'll probably just post them here. And I think I'll do a mini TR within this PTR. At least that's the plan for now :thumbsup2

I have to go back and catch up but must say now that i love your opening paragraph!
