Unexpected Soarin' refurb

As of this morning at 11 am Soarin is down with an expected return Thursday. No word on why but it wasn't on any schedules I saw. In case it wasn't out there yet I thought I'd spread the word.

Hopefully I'll find time to head over before we leave Sunday.

I found out! It'll be down 2 days according to cast member. My daughter is so disappointed. It's been a new favorite since she got tall enough.

Mouseplanet had it on their Disneyland Resort Update posted on Monday, but it wasn't on any prior schedules. My guess is that they decided it would be better to just shut it down than to keep it running with only one side up.

I was there this weekend, and it was a real mess with only one screen. Standby waits were consistently over an hour, and FPs went quickly. We did ride fairly quickly from the FP line however. Hopefully back to 2 screens this week!

Good, hopefully this means they come back with both screens. It's great that they're trying to avoid having to close the attraction completely, but it's been running at half capacity for weeks and wait times have been ridiculous. At this point it made more sense to just close the ride down for a handful of days and bring it back 100%.
