I was really excited to find a dinner reservation, but the experience didn't live up to what I hoped it would be. The outside of the castle is so amazingly done. I loved the gargoyles on the bridge, the waterfall, the castle entry, it was just great. I think it was a combination of being seated in the Rose Gallery (which kind of reminded me of a Denny's, aside from a few BatB decor items) and the food being just meh. They were quite busy too and our poor server was rushing around. We ordered the seafood pastry thing, I was not a fan. I wish I'd have liked this more.
On the plus side, after going to Disney for 14 years on and off, this is the first time I have ever gotten a picture of my kids with a character. The Beast was available to meet after we ate, there was a Photopass photographer there (my camera battery was dying, so this was great), and there was no line This was pretty great! He also popped his head into the dining rooms on and off during dinner.
I walked around a bit after eating to see the other rooms and loved the vibe in the big ballroom. The snow is very cool!
