Aloha! Heading to Aulani on Tuesday morning...we're so excited! I'm thinking I'd like to get some underwater video and photos while snorkeling, but I've never done that before. I have a Nexus 6P, so I bought a YOSH waterproof case (link below). I also have a GoPro, but it's an older base model, without a screen to see what's being recorded, and of course, I won't know how the GoPro video turned out until later when I can import it into the laptop.

Any advice on which to use? Has anyone used the YOSH cases or something similar? I won't let my quest for video and photos hinder my enjoyment of the beautiful sights and sounds, but I'm big on having stuff like that to look back on.

Thanks!

We take a LOT of underwater pictures and videos and photos on our sailboat so we bought a Fuji XP80 last year as a second Fuji to an earlier model. This camera cost us under $150 after searching around for deals online. Our phones don't last us more than two years so we didn't want to invest in waterproof cases for each particular phone, and this camera takes fabulous pictures and videos above and below water. Just a thought if you enjoy more than occasional underwater photography or taking pictures anywhere, like water parks or the beach where you are likely to get wet. Here's a video taken the first week of December at Paradise Cove right next to Aulani so you get an idea what kind of pictures it takes.

Sorry...haven't got the Facebook video upload down yet. Will try again.
