Costco has Fuji FinePix Z33WP Waterproof on sale for $129

Anyone familiar with this camera and any recommendations for it?

No, I haven't heard anything about this camera, but there was a thread not to long ago about underwater cameras. The Olympus ones got a good review. I just bought the Olmpus 850 Sw at Sam's Club ($158). I just tested it out in a pool this weekend and it took good pics. Most people on that thread were excited about the new Canon D10 (I think). I saw Costco has an Olympus waterproof one for $179, I don't remember which model. The tough 6000?

We got it! It is amazing! We love it!!!! It takes great pictures underwater. The flash is a little strong for everyday picture but underwater takes clear pictures.

Here is a picture from my first few tries using the camera.

As in any underwater camera it is hard to know exactly what you are taking a picture of.

do note this FUJI camera has a max working depth of 3 meters...it is waterproof but not intended to be 'underwater'

yes it can get wet but isn't really meant to be submerged

if interested this site has 'true' underwater cameras and housings.

scroll down and see that FUJI has a $200 housing for the F-30, good for over 100 feet.

so if you really plan to use for regular snorkeling I'd not recommend a waterproof ....

10 feet is all that our family needs. :thumbsup2

Def for diving you would need something more but for an average water proof camera...instead of the ones you throw away...this a great alternative!

Can anyone recommend a disposable one and where to buy it at?
We leave tomorrow and that's something I forgot to get!

I was reading some reviews of the disposable underwater cameras, and the Fuji one got better reviews than the Kodak. I got mine at Wal-Mart, and they were under $9. I was considering getting a digital underwater camera, but for our furst cruise, I just went the cheaper route. Have fun!! :cool1:
