Understanding DHS at night

I'm trying to figure out how DHS nighttime stuff is likely to go when we're there in July. I understand that there's likely to be a fireworks show added for the summer. Currently, Fantasmic is scheduled for 9:00.

Is there any plan (based on history) for when the fireworks will occur, relative to Fanstasmic? Based on what's been done before, will we be able to see both, and if so, do we need to rush out of Fantasmic to have a chance to see fireworks, or is a more leisurely pace OK? We have, in the past, preferred to let the crowd mostly empty out of the theater and take our time leaving the park after Fantasmic, but maybe this won't be possible if we want to see fireworks?

Or, do we just need to plan on two days at DHS to see both? I doubt that's possible (we don't have park hoppers), and given that Fantasmic is just about our favorite thing in the parks, we'll have to skip Fireworks if we can't do both.

1. Yes.
2. "Rush" is not how I'd describe it.
You would be able to walk out with the crowd and find a spot in time to see the fireworks.

There is currently (and has been for months) a very popular Star Wars fireworks show at DHS.
The one coming this summer is a "newer version" of that show, with added elements.
Current guests who see Fantasmic! have also been able to see the fireworks on the same night.

You can even see the fireworks while not technically in the park. They are visible before you get to bag check. There are lots of benches near the water to sit on while you wait for them to start. They seem to be behind TGMR, and are seen very well at the entrance. We have watched them from both places with equal enjoyment.
