Understanding Annual Passes

I am an AP holder but want to get one for my daughter. She currently has two unused 3-day base tickets. Can I trade them both in for credit towards an AP, or are you only able to trade in one? I've never had to trade in any tickets...I just buy my AP online.

Only one.

Okay, so after reading through all of the posts on this thread, I'm conflicted as to what to do.
Here is my scenario:

I bought an 8 night hotel package with 6 days park hopper and water park option tickets. We arrive on the night June 25th and planned on going to the parks on the 26th.

I want to upgrade to the Annual Pass. I figured that it would cost $1657 for the four of us to upgrade to the AP with water park option minus the cost of the 6 day park hopper with water park option tix we already have.

I was told that if I upgraded on the night of the 25th but didn't use it until the 26th that my pass would start on the 26th and be able to use it on June 26, 2017. After reading through this thread, I see that that's wrong.

So, what should I do if I want to extend my pass for as long as possible? (We are planning a trip next year and cannot leave until June 17th, so the one day actually is a big deal for us.)
I don't want to spend my first day arrival at MK standing at Guest Services for an extended time. (We are going with a large group and we are the only ones upgrading to AP. It would ruin the "magic" to wait in line and work with GS for an extended period.)
Could I start off the day on my tickets and then upgrade sometime that afternoon? Would the cost of that day's ticket still come off the cost of the AP?

I apologize for the long winded email. I hope I didn't ramble too much. I'm just getting super nervous for my trip.

Thank you!
Yes you can enter the parks with your tickets in the 26th and then later that day (or another day) go to guest relations or a ticket window and upgrade your tickets to APs. The amount you get credit for will remain the same (a 6 day ticket) whether you have used a day or not.

We have the FD package for September. DD who is a Florida resident and DGD are staying in our room. We have 7 day PHs but DD wants to upgrade to the Silver Pass while we are there. Since the cost of the Silver Pass is less than the 7 day PH, will they be able to do this, and if so, will she get a refund or just lose the difference? We don't want to lower the days on our PHs since we will not be able to make FP ressies for the entire stay 60 days out.

TIA for any help!

So, my question has more to do with the added benefits that come with the annual pass.

The official Blurb on the Disney Web Site:
Disney Platinum Pass
Enjoy one year of admission to all 4 Walt Disney World theme parks (during normal operating hours) and the ability to go from park to park on the same day—with NO blockout dates—plus theme park parking, Disney PhotoPass downloads*, special offers for stays at Disney Resort hotels and valuable discounts on dining, merchandise, recreation and tours!

My questions:

1) the ability to go from park to park on the same day basically means it's a park hopper. correct?
2) What is the difference (if any) from Memory Maker & Disney Photopass downloads?
3) Typically, are the "special offers" at Disney Resort hotels similar to the 10%, 15%, 20-30% structure that they do. I realize that who knows what Disney will do in the future, but historically what has it been?
4) What about discounts on dining & merchandise? Again, I know there are no guarantees on what Disney will do, just what have people had in the past?

Many thanks!

Yes, that is correct

Same thing. Photopass was the original name, now called Memory Maker
3) Typically, are the "special offers" at Disney Resort hotels similar to the 10%, 15%, 20-30% structure that they do. I realize that who knows what Disney will do in the future, but historically what has it been?
AP discounts often come out a few days before the 'public', but generally the same discounts
4) What about discounts on dining & merchandise? Again, I know there are no guarantees on what Disney will do, just what have people had in the past?
Discounts, and other benefits.... http://allears.net/pl/apass.htm#bene2016

Does anyone heard anything about a price increase for the WDW AP this year? I heard about the Universal one, and at one point there was speculation about the same kind of thing for WDW, but haven't heard anything lately.

Two of us are going later this fall. We currently have 6-day PH package, and realized that if we can upgrade our PH to AP (along with the TIW card for one of us), we could save money on a fall trip NEXT year (starting and ending before our expiration date, of course.) But if they raise the cost again after the big jump last year, it would not really be a savings for us.

I apologize if this has already been discussed, as I just scanned the first few pages and this last page,....feel free to point me to the original discussion...

Thanks!!

They always raise prices every year. No need to wonder, because it will happen.

But your tickets will be bridged to the current-when-you-upgrade value of those tickets, so it's not like you're going from *old ticket price* to "new AP price*.

This all sounds great! We will be getting APs next May as we will have 2-3 visits within a year. i've never bought from Parksavers before. They have a current special of $394.46 for a 7-day park hopper. That would be a $73 savings over park prices. Not sure if Parksavers charges tax, does anyone know? If we could trade this in for an AP on our first day, that would be great. Only problem is that on the Parksaver website, you need to enter the redemption date. When you click on their calendar, it only goes through the end of this year. The verbiage below states tickets are valid through 2018. i emailed them to ask about that. But does anyone know? And i would absolutely want to make sure these could be used for an AP upgrade. i've used Undercover Tourist before and have confidence in them. Just new to these guys. Thanks!

We just purchased a home in Florida for a steal! I always wanted a vacation home if me and the significant other are on the bank account together statement will that count or do we each need one?

We are in this exact same situation. Have you purchased your AP, and did you run into any problems? Did you bring a printed bank statement, or did you pull it up on your phone?
