This past week I've been in contact with the customer services reps at UT three times regarding a ticket refund. Each time I had a different rep and I have to say they are some of the most pleasant people to deal with. I'm of an advanced age so I've spoken with many CS reps over the years and the UT reps are truly the tops.

Between the Grumpy avatar and the first sentence I thought this thread was going to go a different way entirely! Good to hear that they're handling it well. I bought my tickets through them for the first time on my most recent trip but haven't had to call them for anything; planning to go through them for tickets for next year's trip as well since the process was so smooth and why not save money?

Yeah, it was my fault I had to call so many times. They agreed to refund the normal 95% of the ticket purchase on the first call. All I had to do was return the tickets. Simple enough, huh? Well, my daughter had somehow lost the tickets between the cancelled March trip and now so I had to call again and explain the situation. The rep looked up my order, put me on hold to speak with a supervisor, and said they would issue a refund anyway. Top notch service!

This is what sets some travel agents and ticket sales companies apart - a phone number to talk to a real person who is interested in helping you. The trifecta of excellent service! Sounds like you found a gem here.

They are fabulous...they refunded my "non-refundable" tickets. We have been using them for 10 years, minus the years we had an AP.

I completely agree! We've used them for years and they were so helpful and nice during this time when we had to cancel. This was our week to be in WDW. :sad1:

They even refunded my dd and her boyfriend's non refundable Uni tix.

Hello! Question: I know that expired the cost of UT tickets can be used towards the purchase of new tickets through Disney, but I was wondering what would happen if the cost of your UT tickets exceeded the price of the tickets you wanted to buy through Disney?

Nothing...they do not refund the difference.

So if the cost of the UT ticket that expired is greater than the cost of the new ticket I want to purchase from Disney, it would cover the cost of the Disney ticket but I would lose whatever the cost difference was?

My situation: I have an 8-day park hopper ticket from UT for December that was purchased 6 months ago, but due to the current situation it will likely not be used.
If I wanted to use that ticket (cost was around $700) towards the purchase of say a 3-day ticket sometime in 2021/2022 (for lets say around $300), I could do that but I would lose the $400 difference?

That is how it always been. It is why I always had to make sure the tickets I bought to upgrade to an AP, once bridged, was still less because they do not refund differences.

So, I would not count on being able to downgrade the ticket and get the differences, especially since it was bought at UT.

I wanted to do that recently,,,change the ticket...and had to go back to UT as Disney could not help.

Thank you that's helpful! I guess I'll hold onto it and try not to use it for something that would cost less. Would you happen to know if I could use it towards an AP renewal?

I think they allow that. I have always used them for new. I will be trying it in February to use an expired ticket towards it!
