Undercover Tourist..upload DL or Passport?

I placed an order last night and they want me to verify my identity by uploading either DL or Passport. I'm a little hesitant to give them that information. Anyone else have this issue?

I took a pic of my DL on my phone and sent it. It seemed a little seedy to me too, but I got my electronic tickets a few minutes after I sent it.
