Undercover Tourist Question

Just evaluating options here and seeing if it makes sense to purchase tickets via Undercover Tourist vs Disney itself.

Our trip is in February 2019 but the tickets on UT say they need to be activated by December 31st? I’d contemplate waiting until the first of the year and purchasing then from UT but then we’d miss our FP window.

Just curious who else has dealt with this!

Yes the tickets do expire at the end of the year weather you get them from UT or Disney. What will happen if you have not used them you can apply that money to next years tickets.

Okay that would make sense! So that’s an issue no matter where we’d purchase from then? Do they each just charge the difference? I bought this years tickets in January so I’d never experienced it haha.

We bought our tickets in February, right before the price increase. There was a disclaimer on the screen where we ordered that they would expire 12/31/18.

It won't matter where you purchased them, just take them to a ticket window.

On the thread labeled park tickets one person notes that you will have to pay the cost difference between the old price and the new year price. Also I think you need to consider the time value of money. If you are paying cash could that cash have earned interest in a savings account instead? If you are paying with a credit card then you’re paying interest on your purchase essentially giving up the savings by making the purchase earlier.

True all the way around. I plan on buying tickets 60ish days prior to our trip so we can book fast passes (and if all goes as planned I’m hoping to splurge for APs).
