Undercover tourist doesn't sell annual passes?

That's correct. I believe there's a page on mousesavers about how to get a discount on annual passes, but there are only like 3 ways, I think.

I went online to the Undercover Tourist site - am I correct that they do not sell annual passes?
You could purchase a ticket from UT (look for one with the maximum savings), use it once to enter a park and then upgrade it to an AP. This would, in effect, give you a discount off of the price of your AP.

Other ways to save would be if you're a DVC member, a Florida resident or if you are renewing a current AP.

This is what we're doing this Oct. We're getting an 8 Day Hopper for a 9 days stay so as to be able to get FP+ for most of our days, then we'll add one. The benefit to us is that it splits the cost up, half a few months in advance, half when we upgrade.

Marionette and PSUGuy - I assume you just pay the difference between the tickets you purchase from UT, and the AP cost, minus the day you used to get into the park???

I presume you are staying onsite so parking is not an issue? We are doing a split stay, with the first half of our trip offsite, so under your plan, we would have to pay to park for any days before we are onsite - so that probably eliminates any cost savings?

No, you pay the difference between the "gate price" of the ticket you purchased and the cost of an AP. The anniversary date of the AP will be backdated to one year from the first day that the ticket was used and not one year from the day that you upgraded.

You can ask to have your parking cost refunded. Use the ticket once to enter the park. Go to Guest Services inside the park to do your upgrade. Ask them to refund your parking fee at that time. Make sure that you have a receipt for your parking when you do this.

Got it, thanks so much!

Yep, onsite.

You can do the upgrade the first day you enter the park. So even if you do need to ask for a refund of your parking fee, it's only a one day hit that you need to get refunded.

Always make sure to ask them to "bridge" the ticket when they do the transaction. Most CMs will do this automatically, but if they don't "bridge" it, you will only be credited what the reseller paid WDW, not what you paid the reseller or face value, so you would end up paying more than if you bought the AP direct. Go in knowing what you paid for the ticket, what the current gate value for that ticket is, and what the difference in gate price is between that ticket an an AP to know what they should charge you. And if the numbers don't match up, ask them to check again, or to speak with a manager.
