Hi, I'm going to Disney world for my honeymoon this December. I was thinking of choosing WL but with the construction and no availability for my dates besides bunk beds; I believe POR would be a great location. I'm just undecided on either the king bed or the royal room. My wife has never been to disney, so I want to be make it really special for her. Any suggestions would be awesome.

We stayed in a royal room two years ago and we loved it! Full Disney princess with the light up head board. We haven't stayed in a king room but we have stayed in the mansions normal room and they are also very nice! Not as in your face Disney as the royal rooms. You can't go wrong with either.

We love POR. It's a beautiful resort. I'd suggest a room in either Acadian House or Magnolia Terrace, near Old Man Island foot bridge. Great location. Look at portorleans.org web site for everything you need to know about POR.
Since its your honeymoon, I'd also book a carriage ride! POR has some nice extras as well as carriage rides, a boat to DTD, and a fun evening entertainer in the lounge.

If you are subscribed to touringplans.com, there is a resort map feature that allows you to see the view from each room.

Thanks for the advice looks like I will book Royal. My wife loves Aladdin and the decor looks amazing. Yes, I will definitely book a carriage ride looks quite relaxing. I'm not subscribed I will look into that.

If you book a Royal Room, Oak Manor is a great location.
