I'm just curious what people think. I was going to avoid CA like the plague Mon and Tues this next week, but I'm thinking a good time to get on rides (with our gad fast passes) would be right as the park opens at 10. Theoretically we should be able to walk right in the gate with everyone in line already and go do some rides, including toy story. :confused3

Are you still talking about being there on Mon or Tues of next week. If so, NO your plan will not work. There will be TONS of people in line already at DCA about an hour prior to that park opening. I was there yesterday (Monday) and both DL and DCA were packed to the GILLS by 10am. We arrived at DL at around 9:45, and it took us 4 hours to ride three fantasyland rides and eat lunch. The hoard of people outside DCA at 9:45 was downright scary...

You should be able to do 5 rides using the GAD fastpass vouchers at CA, even next Monday or Tuesday: CA Screamin', Tower of Terror, Soarin' over CA, Mulholland Madness and GRR. Toy Story Midway Mania is not a fast pass attraction and I would expect it to be very busy from park opening until it closes in the evening. With the large crowds expected, however, even the fastpass line will move slowly, especially as it gets later in the day. So go as early as you can (they may open the park and Soarin' before scheduled opening time). Best of luck -- Suzanne

OK. I was thinking everyone would be in line for WOC-- so the lines first off would be lighter...I think we'll just do the gad fp's early anyway for CA, since they will close early in the evening.
We'll do the quieter things in D-land in the afternoon. Lincoln exhibit, Eo, pirates lair, pirates,(I know not quiet but loads fast) Billies, monorail etc. There's the art ehibit on mainstreet too. We haven't seen the new stuff they did with the island (Tom Sawyer island last time we experienced it)since we were there 10 years ago as we missed it last year. Also ride Mark Twain and see the new riverfront stuff. We'll do rides later, maybe do the second fantasmic. I'm jazzed about magical and seeing the new fantasmic dragon!
We'll need to go back to HOJO in the afternoon to check in anyway as we are staying in a priceline hotel the night before.(we changed our plans and HOJO was sold out) Kind of nice to be able to park in the hojo parking lot since we have reservations that first day.

We'll spend more time in CA the remainder of our trip--Wed.-Fri as we have picnic meals for WOC Wed. Figure we'll watch pixar parade when we pick up the picnics from trattoria, we want to definitely see Aladdin and the bugs life 3-d thing we missed last time.
