DS11 got a PIN in the mail today. It is for 4N of Free QSD by 8/14. It has his family name on the front (only I use my maiden name!!!). Unfortunately, it does not work for our dates. Anyway, it is super cute and has Remy all over it!!!

So now I'm curious.... - could I use a PIN if it is addressed to a minor?

Also, once you get your first PIN do they keep coming or was this just a one time tease?

Most importantly, it seems like everyone on the DIS is getting a PIN (and YES, I did followed the advice of cancelling saved itineraries and entering "off-site" accommodations!). I did this all on Friday or Saturday and the PIN arrived today! What is up with this advice? I have wanted a PIN for years, suddenly I try this trick and we get one. It is almost spooky, to be honest!:scared1:

I don't have an answer to your question, but our oldest son got the same PIN - I saw some posters on another thread saying the same thing! Marketing to the kids - very smart!

P.S. I received another PIN earlier this year, but it turned out the AP discount was better for us.

We ahve been staying on Disney property forever, we have never gotten a Pin yet. We book thru AAA for all our trips, does that make a difference???

I check at the Disney site to make sure what we want is open, then use AAA for the booking.

Can anyone lead me into the world of PINS and how to get them.

Len

A PP had suggested this :teacher: ...I followed the advice for kicks and less than 3 days later we had a PIN :wizard:... like I said, spooky!!!

Well, the trick I was talking about is floating all over the DIS. Basically, I deleted my saved offers and itineraries on the WDW site. I created a new itinerary and on this one under accommodations I put "staying off-site."

Looks like nobody has answered your first question yet :goodvibes

I am about 98% sure that yes you can use the pin as long as he is listed as a guest also on your reservation. If he doesn't go, you can't use it ;) Lucky him!

Thanks, does the PIN come thru snail mail or does it come email? Sorry for acting like a newbie, but this the first time trying to get these magic little price busters.

:lmao: Well, I guess I won't be leaving him behind!

Mine came through snail mail, but it seems like I hear that most people get them through emails. When we first started going to Disney (2003), the PIN codes were all mailed out on postcards. While I was still a newbie (first trip with DS) and didn't know what all the fuss was about, a friend I taught with gave me her PIN code. I used it with no problem at all. I think Karma has been making PIN codes elusive to me until now!!:rolleyes1

Is your son registered on the Disney website? Very interesting. They always say when you are targeting families with advertising, appeal to the kids!

Still not as bad as the year when my DD was about 8 months old and she got a credit card application, followed by confirmation that she was on the voters roll for the upcoming elections :scared1: Funny thing is that it actually noted her date of birth on there - CORRECTLY!!!

I got the FQSDP by regular mail. It was addressed to my mom but with my address. I have no active itineraries or any trips saved...I do have 2 trips booked, however.
