Unassigned Old Paper PH Ticket Question

I have several old non-expiring paper tickets with 5-6 days remaining from a 2001 family trip. We have no idea which ticket belonged to which family member. We also don’t know when our now-adult children may choose to go back. We qualify for FL APs now so don’t need them for ourselves. I have digital copies of the tickets, have the physical tickets in a secure place, and have my dates of last use. Is there any reason to convert them to new ticket media at this time? We converted two already and the reissued ticket card showed an expiration 10 years in the future. When I asked about it, I was told the date is just a placeholder and that the tickets would not in fact expire. I don’t like having to wait 10 years to test that advice. Comments?

The only reason I can think that you might want to convert the old tickets to new media (digital) is so they are linked to your MDE account. The older they get, and the more systems change, it may be that much more challenging to get very old tickets converted to "current." Already, it can be hard to do with paper tickets unless you are in-person. Without having tickets in MDE, one is unable to book a theme park reservation.
