I recently made a cruise reservation through DCL's website for January 2018 but its new version's functionalities are virtually nonexistent. It seems that I am unable to do anything other than change staterooms and/or make payments. Is that correct?

From my previous experience with DCL, I slightly remember the possibility of changing dates, itineraries, guests and travelling information but know I am confused.

The worst part is that according to the confirmation e-mail, our passports numbers are already on file but I renewed my passport recently and never had a chance to update it.

What should I do?

Not to worry. Most of that will happen on line much closer to the date of your trip. You are returning cruisers, so instead of 75 days out, it will be what, 90 I think. Unless you want to cancel your trip or add new people to it, you won't have to update passport info or book excursions until then. In the mean time, frequent the boards here and have fun planning!

you could always call DCL direct and they have the answers...
and, if they don't have the answers, they will gladly make something up :rotfl2:

but, generally, for the technical type stuff, they are VERY VERY good :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Its true... there are very few options available online now. For the major changes you need to call in (or have your TA do it for you if you are booked through them of course). As the previous poster said, you will be able to update your passport info when you do online checkin, or they may be able to update that over the phone as well if you wish!

Usually, under "My cruise reservations" right under the sail date, there's a "Change Stateroom" line.

Also, at the right of Balance Due, I believe there was a "Make Payment" option (I'm paid in full right now but that is where I used to go.

Via the website you can:
  • Change staterooms
  • Change your dining time (if your choice is available)
  • Sign up for or cancel transfers
  • Sign up for or cancel insurance
  • Make payments
You need to call DCL to:
  • Change guests
  • Change guests' personal info
  • Change dates or itineraries
  • Make special dining requests & share allergy info
  • Cancel

Thank you all for your replies! :thanks:

This change is quite annoying but I can live with it. Is it still possible to change dates or itineraries without paying fees?

Yes! No fees for changing sailings (which is technically cancelling one cruise & booking another) until after PIF. But even after PIF you can downgrade your stateroom category & get the difference back, with no fee. I did that last month.
