I need to change my reservation to check out two nights earlier, for my reservation in Jan 2022. I tried editing the reservation online, but it says Premier site is not available for my selected days. I don't want to change categories. I am not changing the check-in day, only leaving earlier. Will a phone rep be able to do this ? Seems strange as my site category is obviously available as I'll already be checked in.

Unfortunately it's not as simple as "checking out 2 days early". The Disney algorithm will basically look for a new reservation for the new dates. If one isn't available, it won't let you book it. It works that way intentionally as to not leave orphaned nights that are unlikely to be booked by someone else. If you call, someone might be able to help, but no guarantees.

It appears that you have hit a min/ max level. The system has a minimum days that you MUST book. If you book a weekend or a holiday sometimes, the system demands you stay /book at least 3/ 4 days (Thursday or Monday).

I'm reserved for 11 nights (Sunday to following Thursday), trying to change it to 9 nights (Sunday to following Tuesday). Every category is showing an option, except the one we are in. :/ I guess I keep trying? Luckily still a lot of time until end of January.

What @ENJDisneyFan said. A few years ago they changed the system to require a "rebooking". Many many people were booking really long stays at the 499 mark and then adjusting the actual reservation much closer to the actual arrival date to reflect what the really intended. This ties up the site until the last minute for days they never intended. One of the reasons it is so hard to get a reservation and then suddenly you can piece together what you need a few weeks out. I have heard people bragging about booking 3 weeks in a row 15 months out because they weren't sure which single week they really wanted to go. But they were thrilled they only had to pay a 1 night reservation fee and could decide at the last minute.

Some have had success calling. It may take a higher level CM to override. Like many things, be nice and give a reasonable explanation why you need to drop days. Both go a long way to get what you want.

Update - I did call and get a lovely CM. She tried to make the change, to no avail. But she submitted a request via a form to another department and said they would get back to me with a new confirmation email when/if they can make the change, in 7-10 days.

However, I logged in to My Plans few min ago (maybe 1.5 hour after speaking?) and the change is already made to my new checkout date. I did not get an email yet with a new total. I still show I have a Premium Campsite, so I'm good with that! That was so fast!

If anyone needs the nights of Feb 1-2, go grab it!

Glad you were able to get it straightened out. You may have posted this earlier, but what days will you be at the Fort? Several of us will be there through the middle to the end of January. I'll be there January 9th- 22.
