bottle of Chardonnay?

At the monthly neighborhood BBQ last night I'd brought over a bottle, but other than maybe one glass, I don't think anybody else had any! GULP! AND it was empty by the end of the evening! Wouldn't you know it, nobody brought atkins friendly sides, so all we were able to eat was the brats and pork chops we'd brought over. Oh, and a few strawberries. Maybe I was filling the empty spots w/ wine! Oops! Hey we had a great time!

This is not "True Confessions" I really want to know! I don't feel like I fell off the wagon Atkin's-wise - I'm almost always very good about the choices I make and I'm starting KISS tomorrow. So I'm not beating myself up about this.

Oh well!

I found this:

White wine: 1g carb per 3.5 ounces
A standard wine bottle holds 25 ounces.
So that's around 7 carbs per bottle.

(Beware! This information comes from a WW, so my carb calculations are always suspect!)

I downloaded the Atkins Carb Counter book to my computer.

If you're doing Atkins.... the book says that there are .9 carbs per 4 oz. pour. So..... the whole bottle at 25 oz. would be less than 6 carbs. However, the book only states "Medium White Wine"... so maybe round up a bit.

That's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be! Of course, that much alchohol just wasn't a good thing! I don't intend to do that again for a LONG time!
