If you are using an umbrella in the park, do you just close it up and take it on the rides, or do they make you put it in a locker somewhere?

Umbrellas go with you on the ride either in a small basket/holder or on the floor at your feet. For this reason, it is advisable to take a folding umbrella rather than a long umbrella.

If you're going in summer, make sure it's a UV-blocking umbrella. You'll see a lot of people walking around with these in the sun.

Do you know if they sell these nearby TDR (or in TDR)? Seems like a great idea, but I'm thinking we don't want to travel all the way from the US with them.

I really don't know. I'd imagine maybe at a 7-Eleven nearby, perhaps?

I bet one of the stores at Ikspiari would have them. There's a Daiso there, so, perhaps that would be the place to look. Regular umbrellas are generally available in several locations. If it is raining when you arrive, the AirBic at Haneda T3 definitely has regular. Saw them last month.
