We are contemplating bringing an umbrella stroller for our daughter who will be 5 when we go to Disney. We want to travel light (i.e. umbrella stroller), but find that the handles on most models are way too short...we are not even tall people (5'4'' and 5'10"), but feel hunched over whenever we are pushing umbrella strollers. Does anyone have any recommedations for an umbrella stroller that has longer handles? Where did you get it and how much was it? Thanks!

We have a MacLaren Triumph that we got at BJs for around $120. We love it but we haven't taken it to WDW because we use another stroller that reclines fully for when DS naps, and the basket is somewhat small and I carry around a back pack sized diaper bag... We will be taking the Maclaren to DLP in June though. My DS is on the big side for his age, but the weight capacity on our stroller is 55 pounds (and he weighs about 36 lbs at 2 and 1/2) so we hope we'll be able to use it for a while.

I have a MacLaren Volo and a Mac quest. The volo I paid about $99 at toys r us. Love love love this stroller. There is no recline but with an older child I don't think the recline is necessary. I originally purchased this stroller for Disney a couple of years ago for my 6 year old. It has a 55 lb. weight limit and is so easy to push. I bought the quest on e bay for about 140. I needed one with a recline for my 2 year old. This one also pushes like a dream. I would recommend the volo for an older child. You could get a less expensive stroller but i think the Macs are worth every penny.

After reading so many glowing reports of Maclarens, I bought a gently used Maclaren Volo on eBay. It was only used at Disney, perfect since I want to bring it there for my just-turned-6-year-old's first visit. I don't expect her to ride much at all, but wanted to have something available for tired times.

I highly recommend the Graco Ipo. We paid about $90 for my moms. And when we decided to get another stroller ourselves, we paid about $80 (because I had some coupons for 10% of the stroller plus another 15% of the entire purchase).

Babies R Us has them. And I have also seen them at Target. It's a great stroller and the seat reclines for kiddos to nap.

I have a Maclaren Volo but for our upcoming trip I bought a Combi Flare Stroller for $45. When we get back I'm going to give the Combi Stroller to my brother for his daughter. I have an almost 6 yr old but she's on the small side (only weighs 39lbs) so this stroller would be perfect for us. My best friend has this same stroller and loves hers.

We have the uppa baby g lite. Worth every penny!! (it's $99, but very sturdy, has a decent little basket, has a sun canopy, cupholder and a carry strap!)

I got a Maclaren Volo on Ebay for $55 about a year ago. I used it on our Sept trip last year, and sold it on Craigslist to an Orlando local (met her at DTD on our last day there) for the same price I paid for it. :thumbsup2 For this past trip a few weeks ago, I bought another Volo on Ebay (this one was in well-used but functionable condition) for $35. My DS never ended up using it on the trip...he held up really well and got plenty of sleep at night to last him through the day. He had his cranky moments, but not so bad that he was passing out and needing a stroller. I will probably be selling it on Ebay, or may keep it for another trip, just in case. They have a max capacity of 55 lbs, so you could hold up to an average sized 6 and a half year old in them. My DH is 6'6 and had no problem with pushing him around in it. Other Maclaren models also work well, but Volo is the most standard model they have. Check around on Ebay and Craigslist. If you are driving to WDW, check around on the Orlando Craigslist too.

We have a Maclarent Quest and love it! The handles come up high, it reclines fully and is very sturdy. We have been using ours for 2 years now and still love it. We plan to bring it to WDW this fall.

I bought a Perego Plinko P3. It folds like an umbrella but is more like a regular stroller. Has a tray for the child and a cup holder for the parent. The handles extend.

another vote for the maclaren volo! DD even used that one at 7 for our nights in Disneyland. Say what you will about a kid that age in a stroller, but she fit in it, and doing 16 hour days 5 days in a row, by evening she was tired and would fall asleep in it!

The Mac Volo is SUPER light, like 10 pounds or so. It also has VERY HIGH handles -dh is 6'2" and it is GREAT for him. We bought it to use for our DD at 6 and 7. She just jumped in and out when she needed to and it held bags and stuff when she wasnt in it.
