Ok where to begin?!? I grew up in Florida and LOVE anything Disney. I haven't been since 2000 and began "mentally planning" this trip while I was in the hospital after having my daughter (Sept. 2006).

The group will be...

My parents, sister, and uncle may be joining us for a few days at the parks, but will not be staying on site!

I officially began planning the trip in June of this year. Reservations were made for the ASMu Family Suite. We were planning on going with another family and the suite made the best sense. The other family backed out in September, leaving me to figure out where to stay.

As a child, I stayed at GF, CR, and the Poly. As an adult at Dixie Landings. I was leaning towards a moderate and got online to check on the prices. I immediately called and switched our ressie to CBR.

Since then, I found the DIS and am questioning my resort choice with a small child, but Disney keeps telling that POR and POFQ are booked for that week. I requested a room in Jamaica. Someone please tell me that was the right area that's closest to the food court!

So we are all booked and I start planning :) That's one of my favorite parts. My hubby has never been to Disney and my son can't remember much of it, so I have NOONE to be excited with me! That's why I LOVE this site! It's nice to know that I am not the only mickey freak out there. Although I used to be worse.... much worse. When I moved from Florida to North Carolina, my whole house was decorated in Disney. (I even had mickey shaped plates and a toaster that put mickey ears on the toast). My bathroom was all Pooh bear and when my son was born.... hello baby disney characters.

But I digress.... I am 55 days out and all of my ADRs are made. This will be my first time using the DDP and I am looking forward to the convenience. I'll get into my daily plans and ideas later.

Whew... need a break. I'll be back!

What a good looking family. My motto is have stroller no problem.

We stayed at CBR for our first onsite trip...wish we gave more time to explore the resort and pool. We do that now..a day at the pool and to relax.

Cannot wait to read more...oh yeah what part of Florida did you live in?

Thanks for reading :) I grew up in the Orange Park area (Just south of Jax). I HATE feeling rushed in Disney, so we will be there 8 days (2 half days of travel, 5 days of parks... 1 day for each park and then an extra for whichever we want to see more of... and a free day!)

We will be bringing our own stroller. Last time we took ds, they still had those OLD rental strollers and I have a picture of him asleep with his little head on the metal bar because it didn't recline!

Here are our daily plans and ADRs...

Saturday the 15th...

920 am flight arriving at MCO at 1108 am.. taking ME, to the resort around 130ish?!?!?!? Explore the resort for a while then hit the Boardwalk for dinner at Big River Grill. (I have heard mixed reviews about this lace, but DH thinks it looks good). We are having som basics delivered through WEGO too! Apparently Disney doesn't serve Gerbers Puffs... a staple in the 1 year old's diet! Early night!

Sunday the 16th...

Breakfast at the FC then off to MGM. I haven't been here since the year they opened, but I remember being bored then. No one else in our group has been here either. I don't have high hopes! My parents will probably go with us this day. I am planning on grabbing FPs for either ToT or RnR and riding which ever is shorter first. (Great way to start the trip). Then we are breaking into boy - girl groups. Girls to Beauty & the Beast, Little Mermaid, and Playhouse Disney. Boys to Extreme Stunt Show, Indiana Jones, and Star Tours. We will meet back up and do Disney Animation, Narnia, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, and Muppets. My son will HAVE to see the HS Musical Pep Rally. I am still undecided about Fantasmic. I know that I will love it, but I think it might be a bit loud for the 1 year old! Oh yeah and we have 11am ADRs for PrimeTime!
All of this is depending on how my little drama princess does. She LOVES being in her stroller watching people, so I am thinking we will be good and no leaving the park for naps. She sleeps just as good in her carrier or stroller!

Any suggestions so far? Back with more later!

Wow... bumped to the second page. I am feeling unloved :(

Where was I???? Mommy brain is kicking in! Ok Day 2...MGM, Of course we want to see the parade too. WE'll do CS for dinner somewhere!

Before I move on to day 3, I think some more pictures are in order...

Love the silly baby pic....to cute...and congrats to your son for becoming a boy scout.

Plans sound good so far.

Since we go so much I do not plan as much,..,.I make the ADRs and then decide what park.

This trip timed our anniversary dinner at California Grill (hoping to get a window seat for wishes like we did in 2004). My DD will go to the babysitting clun at BC.

Sounds like you will have a great trip. I am glad you upgraded to a moderate. I never worry about the size of the resorts. We have stayed at POR the last three summers, when our youngest was one, two and three. It has never been a problem being in a spread out resort. It is actually one of the things I love about Disney!
