I agree

But the braless alternative isn't any better.
Hello they make STRAPLESS BRAS! I have not been won over by the "decorative straps" yet.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of even decorative straps showing.
I like this new neckline on a top:
but you can definitely see straps under the circular neckline, above the underarms. Ruins the whole effect to me to see the straps. Same with racerback tops.
I bought a new Calvin Klein strapless bra with detachable straps. It has boning along the sides. I absolutley love it because it's the first bra that really keeps the gals up, since gravity has been making it's effect on them. They aren't big, but now I understand what Stacy & Clinton, on
What Not to Wear, mean when they say get a good supportive bra. And that one that is supportive, is NOT dependent on the straps to keep the girls up. I ended up going back and bought several more, on sale, to wear as my regular bra with the straps.
Sue-Ellen Mishky started this trend, years ago. She got tired of being called "The bra-less Wonder" so decided to wear her bra as a top. The first time she wore it as a top, walking down the street in NYC, it caused quite a stir, and even a car accident, if I remember correctly....
Maybe those moms dressed like Madonna back in the mid 80's because of the same reasons. MTV was big, we had tv, and we had movie stars who set the fashions.
It's not just Sue Ellen and Madonna - who did start it all. Sarah Jessica Parker was dressing with her bra clearly used as clothing in
Sex & The City. I see old reruns & I think, "Carrie, men disrespect you after sleeping with you, because you dress like a ho. I don't care if that has a designer label and cost $$$$ and is considered "fashion"

, you still dressed like a ho. When you advertise the goods to men like that, what do you expect?"
