We booked with Virgin a little while back online, staying at ASMo, and my boyf pointed out that the Ultimate Park Hopper does not appear on our invoice.

I'm pretty sure I read in the hard copy of the brochure that the UPH is added to your holiday automatically if you book online and you have to phone Virgin seperately to cancel them.
Also, looking at the brochure and comparing room only prices with room AND UPH our price matches up to the room AND UPH (even though it says 'room only' on the invoice)..

Also, there's no where to book it seperately online (although I understand that it's only available to Disney guests anyway).

Any thoughts?
Should I be worried?
Am I worrying for no reason..?
:confused3

As far as I know there aren't ANY deals available to get your park passes included in the UK, they are always a seperate sale. :confused3

I pretty sure that with the major companies you can include Length of Stay passes when booking WDW hotels. I'd give Virgin a ring and ask them. If they say that the price doesn't include the passes, I'd ask them why you are paying so much!!

Let us know how you get on,
Andy

I know it's a while ago, but when we went in 2002 we had no paperwork for the tickets from Virgin they were just issued when we checked in at All Star Sports as part of our package. I don't know whether things have changed now the Magic your Way tickets have come onto the scene.

Why don't you phone Virgin just to put your mind at rest.

Libby

Andy, that's what I was thinking about the price - it's the only thing that makes me think that they are included, just not mentioned.

Libby - maybe it's the same thing here.
I think I should give them a call... but then I'll get stressed out because me and the operator won't be able to understand eachother!

I think I'll have another peek in the brochure as well when I get home...

I would definitely give Virgin a ring, to ease your mind. However, in January the ticket system changed. Now anyone can buy a Disney Ultimate ticket for either 14 or 21 days. I know in the brochure I had you had to buy the tickets separately. So to be on the safe side just give them a ring.

Hi, We booked in May 2004 for our October 2005 trip to WDW Swan :cheer2: When we booked the ultimate park hopper was incl in price (Virgin have recently changed their online booking system so it no longer does this). If you look on your invoice it should read "ROOM ONLY - INCLUDIN" I spoke to a virgin rep & was assured that the "INCLUDIN" part refers to the park tickets.

Hope this explains it.

I emailed Virg :bounce: in with the same question. They said that although the Ulimate Hopper was no longer available we would get another length of stay pass instead. We're going for 16 days so presume it will be the new 21 day pass

Well, I haven't rung Virgin (yet), but I did do some calculations:
- Our first night is between Nov 1 and Dec 9, so 14 nights cost £759 [£759]
- We're going for 16 nights, and each extra night costs £26 [£811]
- Ultimate Park Hopper is £250 [£1061]

£1061 each is what is on the invoice, so it all looks in order.
Also, my invoice reads 'ROOM ONLY - INCLUDIN'.

We booked in July 2004, so it was under the 'old' system :)
Glad I did it when I did!

RichandNess - I thought the Ultimate Park Hopper is still available for Disney guests. Oh well :confused3
But thinking about it, when I was looking on the website earlier, when you get to the 'pre-book attraction tickets' page it says that Disney Park tickets were not included with Disney Hotels, and nothing was mentioned about the Ultimate Park Hopper - is it really gone for good for people booking now?

I presume that we will also get the 21 day ticket now too - as long as it works the same as the UPH I don't care though!
(We could have saved £55 if we'd waited 'till now - 21 day pass is £195 while UPH is £250!)

If your park ticket isn't including I would order it from somewhere else £250 is ridiculous! Best4attractions have the 21 day Ultimate pass on at £169. That's one heck of a price difference.

I don't think I want the hassle of phoning up Virgin, cancelling my ticket, ordering one from somewhere else... etc.

This way it's all in one package - I'd rather go for the easier option as it's my first 'adult' holiday!
It's never been 'included in the price', as such - Virgin just used to automatically add it on if you booked online (as they did with my booking).

I thought Disney used to provide tickets when you stayed onsite but that changed this year and they no longer do it.

I think you are right to stick with what you have VSL. I suspect Virgin would charge you £25 per person to cancel the tickets so you may not end up any better off in the lonf run!

 I think I misread you previous post I thought you were saying that they hadn't got the tickets included and that if you had to book them that was the price. Apologies for the confusion - that'll teach me to read it properly.

Oh well as you say you could have saved that but then again you might have missed the other price either way it's a good price so it doesn't matter does it! I'm the same anyway I have booked a flydrive through Virgin Holidays because I wanted to be sure to get the flights at the price they were showing and I know for a fact we have paid a lot more for the hire car then if I had booked the flights and carhire separate but that's life isn't it. I wanted to be sure to get the best price on a direct flight on particular and that's the price we pay isn't it. Just as a tip though you might want to join Virgin Atlantic's "Flying Club" and then you will be able to get 10% discount if you book over the phone next time unlike Virgin Holidays you don't have to have booked 3 times to join. Plus once you joined you can get your flying club miles added onto your existing booking. These miles can be used towards things like upgrades on seats so their worth having especially since it's free to join. Quite typical I didn't find out until after I'd booked too but I thought you might like to know.

I was at WDW over easter and had the same problem with virgin and the invoice that did not mention the UPH. I asked them twice and they said yes it is included. When we checked into POP the CM thought we had a 10 day pass and had to go and sort it out.
I should insist that they send you the details in writing of what you have paid for, I felt really annoyed at their attitude.

Miffy2003 - not to mention struggling with their foreign operators. I don't blame the operators (it's the same when calling HSBC and Apple Mac too), but just trying to understand eachother can be so difficult!

wendye - not a problem (I think we all skim posts sometimes - I know I do). It's just nice to have everything all in one package rather than seperate, even if we do pay a bit more, lol! Makes life a little bit easier!
I'll definitely be looking into joining the 'Flying Club' - thanks for letting me know about the Virgin Atlantic option, I would have ended up doing it the Virgin Holidays way!
If I get good service, then I'll definitely want to fly with them again, so I might as well get a little something back!

nee - thanks for the heads-up. At the very least I'll take my invoice with me just in case. I'm landing at about 3:15pm so by the time we get to the hotel and stuff we'll still have a little time to pop down to DTD, and the last thing we'll need is an argument with a CM when we just want to be out enjoying Disney!

That's ok you are most welcome! Btw Best4attractions are a UK company so you shouldn't get foreign operators unless they also use a call centre in India! I know what you mean about HSBC though really drives me nuts but that's another story. :goodvibes
