Ulcerative Colitis at Disney World

I have had Ulcerative Colitis for the past 2 years, and I`m planning a trip to Disney World in June. Does anyone have any exprience with this, or have any bathroom tips...I know that sound funny Thanks!

Every one is different in what they need, but here are a few things


Bring change of cloths, or some type of under garment in case of an accident. if there are foods you know cases you problem stay away from them, if you are on medication bring more then you think and take them,

My main fear is being in line somewhere and having to dash to a bathroom.

Familiarize yourself with the bathroom locations (they are on the maps) in the event that you do need to find one in a hurry. For the most part they aren't usually that far from any location, but some are easier to miss than others.

There will be lines every where some things you can do
try to go before you get in to any line
get to the park at opening where the lines are shorter
book your FP for rides you want to go on that have longest waits ( I find lines start to get long around 60 to 90 minutes after park opens so book your first FP then the other 2 right after)
Maybe go back and rest after you use your FP if you are feeling tierd, the end of the day the lines are often shorter and depending on here you go the park maybe opened quiet late.
after your use your 3 FP look to see what other FP you can get.
I have heard touring plans really helps with lines so maybe down load it ( I think there is a fee, but I heard you can find a scout code,) I have heard of people getting this and they never waited in a long line.

You can go to GR and talk to a CM about your needs that you have in line, they maybe able to help you. They may ( and I do mean MAY) give you a DAS card where you can wait out side the line, but I have heard that some people with UC and other similar thing were told no, but if you feel you may need it then ask.

but even if you do get one there will still be lines since it dose not work every where, so having a good back up plan.


If you find you have to lave the line, you can do one of two things, if someone is with you and you know you can go and come back you can do this, if you can not go and come back have the person you are with talk to the CM, as you go to the bathroom and explain your need that you had to leave often times they will give you a card to come back so you do not have to wait in lines again. ( not aways but some times they will)

There can be. It's usually not that bad, but occasionally at the bathrooms at or near QS locations at busy mealtimes there can be a bit of a line. They have so many bathrooms though it doesn't seem to get too long most of the time.

Yes if you go after fire works, there can be a very long line, and just randomly thought out the day, Most bathrooms there is a number of stalls so the line moves fast ( 5minutes and I know for some 5 minutes is 6 minutes too long) there are a few bathroom ( I know at EPCOT in the world show case near Canada and were you enter there is a small bathroom I think 2 or 3 stalls this maybe one you will want to skip) the American has a really big bathroom, most bath room are nice, if the companion bathroom is open you can use this one if the line is long but people will knock on the door ever 3 seconds some times so I would just use it if you have to.

If you are close to the first aid you can go in there to use the bathroom but only in emergency cases ( I have had to do this before).
