Friends,

I don't know if I have ever mentioned this... but please feel free to get in contact with me if you ever make plans to visit Washington, DC.

I would be more than happy to help you with information, exhibits, tours and whathaveyou.

Cheers,

Bill

Bill,

That's so nice! Thank you :)

I have many places in the States on my 'to do' list, and Washington DC is definitely one of them. I just seem to have this 'problem' at the moment that keeps drawing me to the Mouse House ;) But one day I will get there...

Be assured that should you ever come London/UK, that the offer is returned :)

Thanks Bill - my wife and i visited DC and most of Virginia a couple of years ago and we loved it. We stayed in Alexandria a few nights popped into DC using the Metro visited Arlington National Cemetery. Drove to the battle field at Manassas ( Bull Run ) were we did the driving tour. From Alexandria we headed to Blue Ridge mountains staying in Skyland lodge again for couple of nights it was amazing up there. Richmond was are next stop, we took in the Nascar series brill. From there it was Colonial Williamsburg, there we stayed at Woodlands Hotel it was a prime spot for seeing everything. Last on our tour was Norfolk lovely place.

Virginia is a must place to see -- Civil War battle fields - great food - nice people ( helpfull ) easy driving - I think we'll be back again Bill ;)

JJ,

I remember your visit well. I am sorry that you had to be here at such an awful, time, though.

Having said that, I am pleased that you enjoyed Virginia, as it is such a lovely place. I hope you enjoyed Colonial Williamsburg, as it is one of our favorite places. Since it is only a 90 minute drive from home, we get there four or five times a year (my wife and I are both nuts about history).

Penny,

I fully understand that sentiment... as my wife and I have many more places to visit, we have a hard time staying away from Florida ourselves.

Thanks Bill, have been lots of times on business, but have not left the airport yet! Unfortunately there has not been enough time to explore before getting my connecting flight. It looks great from the air though and have said to DW we must have a holiday there sometime but we always end up in Florida!

Best wishes

FloridaLol

Thanks Bill :) We are planning a trip to New York and maybe Washington DC in Oct 2004:)

Thanks for the offer. I have close family in Baltimore, MD, - my cousin is always wanting to show me round DC. I don't much suppose you need shown round Scotland if you are 'kilted'!!! - but should you be over here, give me a shout.

John,

One of these days I'll take you uop on that. I've only been to Scotland once, and that was when I was in the service... I didn't see much as I was only ashore for about 12 hours.

Cheers,

Bill
