Hi,

I'm David, excited to be travelling to Disneyworld for the first time at the end of this year and the first time to America. Going with my daughter Phoebe who is addicted to Disney for her third birthday before we are stuck with school holiday trips. I'm going to be looking for loads of tips to make it as magical as possible for her. Would be cool to speak to people who have enjoyed or are going to be enjoying this experience and how they found it!

The best initial tip I can give is plan ahead and book experiences etc as soon as the Disney system allows you.
If you are staying at Disney Hotel it gives you an advantage over non Disney guests. If you leave things to the last minute you will struggle to get reservations.

I would give Disney a call and when you get through to the reservation's team tell them you are a first time visitor and ask them for some recommendations on what to do with your daughter.

:welcome: to DISboards! Have fun planning your trip and feel free to ask questions.

Thank you all. I think I'm more excited than she is. I hadn't thought to contact teams for advice. We are in a Disney hotel, but will try and get things booked when we have a chance. I'm sure to have loads more questions such as how I get her around the park without breaking my back, but I'll read through the forums to get the best advice already. Also funniest rides and meet and greets are an absolute must!!!

The best piece of advice I would give is to research as much as you can. Understand which attractions have the longest wait times, understand the booking systems, determine priorities and strategize, strategize, strategize.

The information is all out there, decoding it is part of the fun but there are plenty of people to help both here and on other platforms

Enjoy!

Above all else, PLAN AHEAD! You don’t have to script too hard though. I personally recommend, especially since it’s your first time, to just stick to ONE park per day. Don’t park hop the first time you come here. Take in all the attractions. If you want to skip longer lines and your attractions of choice have it, LLSP it. LLMP on the other hand isn’t worth it…
